The South African captain, visiting the neighborhood of Mugica: the details

Siya Kolisi, symbol of the Springboks, spent an hour and a half in the former complex 31, invited by the government of Buenos Aires. The South African team will face Los Pumas on Saturday, in the fifth date of the Rugby Championship.

The emblematic South African captain is part of the team that will face Los Pumas next Saturday, starting at 4:10 pm at the Libertadores de América-Ricardo Bochini stadium, in a match for the fifth and penultimate date of the Rugby Championship tournament.

The player toured the neighborhood with Minister Migliore and Mariano Cristoforetti, chief of staff of UPE Barrio Carlos Múgica. The Springboks mascot visited different sectors of the historic district, such as the Trade Fairthe lower motorway sector where there is a new public space, the new houses, the educational center and the Ministry of Education.

During the tour, Kolisi had a video call with his wife in his homeland and revealed: “Look at this… the workflow they’ve done here is so impressive. In many ways it reminds me of our country.”

Later he added that “I visited a sector where people live under the bridge (on the low Illia highway) and I visited their new houses. It’s very similar to our country, it’s really amazing the progress and they keep improving it.”

His words encourage us to continue to promote the City’s transformation into popular neighborhoods through integration”.

“The integration of Barrio Mugica and four other famous neighborhoods in Buenos Aires (Barrio 20, Rodrigo Bueno, Playón de Chacarita, Camino de Sirga in Barrio 21-24) represents more than works because it is about achieving the social, economic and urban integration of the neighborhood in its context”, he added.
