Spartak Moscow defeated Orenburg 5-1 in their opening Fonbet Russian Cup Group A match, according to a Lenta.ru correspondent.
Forward Manfred Ugalde scored two goals for the red-and-whites. Pablo Solari, Nail Umyakov, and Pavel Polekh also scored one goal each for Spartak, while Renat Golybin scored the only goal for Orenburg.
Group A Standings
Following the first round of the group stage, Rodina and Spartak top the Group A standings with three points each. Orenburg and Rubin have no points.
Earlier in Group A, Rodina defeated Rubin 5-0. Magomedkhabib Abdulsamov scored two goals for Rodina, while Andrei Egorychev, Artur Garibyan, and Artem Maksimenko scored one goal each.
