In the second round, Alexandrova met Yulia Putintseva from Kazakhstan and won with the score 6:1, 6:3. The match lasted 1h10. Alexandrova went seven innings from start to finish, double faulted nine and converted six of eight break points. Putintseva had neither an ace nor a double fault, and out of eight break points, she converted two.
In the next round, Alexandrova will play against Austrian Julia Graber, ranked 89th in the WTA rankings.
