Russian tennis player Daniel Medvedev shared his expectations for his next opponent at the Madrid Masters.
In the 1/8 finals, Medvedev defeated the representative of Kazakhstan Alexander Bublik with a score of 7:6 (7:3), 6:4. In the quarterfinals of the competition, the Russian will fight with the winner of the confrontation Rafael Nadal (Spain) – Jiri Legechka (Czech Republic).
— Yesterday, I watched Rafa’s match. In my opinion, the third set turned out to be pretty good. He played very well and didn’t look too tired. It will be interesting to see how he does today.
I played here with Jiri Legechka in training before the tournament, he played good tennis. So it is very interesting to see how things go, whether Rafa will get better, whether he is tired or not, and I will prepare the winner,” Medvedev was quoted as saying by the ATP press service.
Nadal and Legechka will play later on Tuesday, with the match tentatively starting after 10:30 p.m. Moscow time.
