Vinicius Junior extends Real Madrid contract until 2032

Vinicius Junior has extended his contract with Real Madrid until 2032, the Spanish club announced on Thursday. The agreement ends months of speculation surrounding the Brazilian forward's future with the Madrileños.

The announcement was not the only major deal confirmed by Real Madrid on Thursday. The club also announced the transfer of Yan Diomande, which stands as the most expensive transfer in the club's history.

Contract negotiations

The future of the Brazilian star had been uncertain in recent months, with persistent reports linking him to interest from Arsenal. Early discussions between the two sides hit a distance between what the player wanted for his renewal and what the club offered him.

However, both parties continued negotiations due to a shared desire to remain together. Real Madrid put an end to the saga on August 6, 2026, releasing an official social media statement confirming that Vinicius Junior will stay at the club until 2032.
