Earlier on Tuesday, Tatarstan Biathlon Federation President Ildar Nugmanov said that the federations of Transbaikalia, Perm Territory, Kaluga region, Republic of Buryatia and Novosibirsk region were forced to vote in the RBU leadership elections for incumbent President Maygurov. The day before, he also mentioned two operations with a budget of 82 and 42 thousand euros and fictitious documents with the participation of Maygurov. In response to this, the head of the RRF in a comment to sports.ru said that this was not Nugmanov’s first attempt to make “revelations”, which Maygurov himself called unfounded and unfounded . He also added that with the second candidate for the post of president of the RBU, Alexei Nuzhdov, he had agreed on a “regime of silence” in order to avoid “stuffing”.
According to the results of the vote, which took place on June 23, none of the candidates won 2/3 of the votes, Maigurov was supported by 35 delegates, Nuzhdov – by 18. Repeated presidential elections will be held in Moscow on June 14 october .

As for us, St. Petersburg is a freedom-loving city, we have always acted with an independent and balanced position. We know what is good for biathlon and what is bad. So it is even impossible to imagine this in our country,” Vasiliev told .
