The President of the Biathlon Federation of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Nugmanov told the story of financial fraud with money from the budget of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU).
An extraordinary conference on the reports and elections of the RBU, during which a new head of the organization will be elected, will be held in Moscow on October 14. The current leader claims to be the president of the RBU Viktor Maygurov and Vice President Alexei Nuzhdov.
– Why does the Ministry of Sports not want to see Alexei Nuzhdov as President of the Russian Biathlon Union? The other day I received the following information: somewhere in November 2020, Nuzhdov stopped an attempted robbery. We are talking about the amount of 82,000 euros, which was allocated by the Ministry of Sports to pay for the stage in Kontiolahti. These funds were received by Dmitry Rochev, an employee of CSP and SBR, and transferred to Maygurov, who transferred a similar amount from the SBR currency account to European counterparties. And he ordered Rochev to prepare a report on fictitious documents and close this amount in the TsSP.
On this fact, there was a meeting attended by Deputy Sports Ministers Azat Kadyrov and Alexei Morozov. They gave Maygurov two days to return the money to the cashier, the money was returned. And there, at the meeting, it was decided to fire Rochev. However, Morozov and Maigurov did not fire him, they said there was no reason. And Rochev continued his illegal activities until November 2021.
Then Rochev instructed national team specialist Kiryushin to receive 42,000 euros from the TsSP fund. In the office, Rochev immediately took 5,000 – he said that would be savings. And Kiryushin then transferred this money to other specialists. As a result, this trip cost 32,000 euros, although Rochev prepared fictitious documents for the total amount of 42,000 and submitted a report to the TsSP. Thus, he stole 10 thousand euros.
Most likely, this case is not isolated. Such a theft scheme was set up. The role of Nuzhdov, who stopped this activity, is understandable – here, in my opinion, not only Rochev was involved, but also ministry employees, as well as Maygurov. Needs, of course, are superfluous in this scheme. If Nuzhdov becomes chairman of the RRF, it will not be allowed, such theft can no longer be allowed,” Nugmanov said in a video. published on the official website of the Tatarstan Biathlon Federation .
