International Biathlon Union (IBU) President Olle Dahlin told he hopes to continue a constructive dialogue with Viktor Maygurov who was re-elected as the head of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU).
On Friday, an RBU reporting and election conference was held in Moscow, the vote for presidential candidates was secret. Aleksey Nuzhdov, president of the Moscow Region Biathlon Federation, also claimed the position of head of the organization. All 54 delegates who took part in the meeting voted: Maygurov received 31 votes, Nuzhdov – 23.
“IBU congratulates RBU Chairman Viktor Maigurov on his re-election and looks forward to continued constructive cooperation in the future,” Dalin said.
