On October 14, in the building of the Russian Olympic Committee in Moscow, the report and election conference of the RBU was held, the vote for the candidates for the presidency was secret. Current RBU President Viktor Maigurov and Moscow Region Biathlon Federation President Alexei Nuzhdov claimed the position of head of the organization. All 54 delegates who took part in the meeting voted: Maygurov received 31 votes, Nuzhdov – 23.
