Speed skating world record holder Pavel Kulizhnikov opened the season with a test at a distance of 1500 meters at the Shavyrin Memorial in Kolomna, Moscow region.
Kulizhnikov and Ruslan Murashov covered this distance out of competition. Both specialize in sprint distances.
