Elections scheduled for November 14

People’s Deputy from Batkivshchyna Ivan Krulko can lead Biathlon Federation of Ukraine.

According to Kamp-Sport, Krulko was part of the Ukrainian delegation at the conference of the International Biathlon Union (IBU) in Salzburg. Some members of the IBU have already tried to present him as the future head of the Ukrainian Biathlon Federation.

The election of the head of the Biathlon Federation of Ukraine should take place on November 14 during the FBU Conference. Krulko has not yet officially put forward his candidacy.

In 2020, MP Ivan Krulko was involved in a scandal when he was accused of transferring his accreditation for the Biathlon World Championships to Russian coach Alexander Kasperovich.

Earlier, the current biathlete Dmitry Pidruchny confirmed that he intends to participate in the presidential elections of the Biathlon Federation of Ukraine.

President of the Biathlon Federation of Ukraine Volodymyr Brynzak wrote a letter of resignation and left his post. According to him, since July 1, he has been acting president of the FBU. Brynzak refused to run for another term. The functionary has led the Ukrainian biathlon since 1998.

The meeting of the Presidium of the Biathlon Federation of Ukraine was to be held on May 18, but was postponed until the end of martial law in the country.
