The Russian Skating Union and the channel have signed a cooperation agreement.
The document was signed by the President of the Russian Skating Union Nikolai Gulyaev and the general producer of Alexander Tashchin. The ceremony took place at the press centre.
— What do you expect from cooperation?
Nikolay Gulyaev: – I think that with the help of the main sports channel we will be able to further promote and popularize our sports. Probably now we will have more opportunities to show them, introduce them to speed skating and short track. The cooperation promises to be very positive, finally we will correct the situation when our sports were unfairly appreciated by television and the media in general, Gulyaev told .
— Alexander, speed skating is not the most popular winter sport in Russia. How can you make it interesting for the viewer?
Alexander Taschin: – First, for it to be more popular, it has to be shown, that’s what we’re going to do. Of course, you have to invest in event marketing, invite stars to promote this or that event, bloggers have to support that. The algorithm is clear, we know how to do it. We are optimistic about the future development of this sport.
