President of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) Viktor Maygurov told a correspondent that he was not surprised by the words of the double Olympic champion Olga Medvedtseva on the work of the organization’s executive committee.
In October, Medvedtseva was elected to the executive committee of the SBR, and Maigurov retained the post of chairman of the organization, beating Alexei Nuzhdov in the election.
– Medvedtseva said that she did not know what the executive committee was doing. Surprised by his words?
– They weren’t surprised. In the new charter, the powers of the executive committee are increased. The first kick-off meeting with many questions is scheduled for Tuesday, October 25. All members of the executive committee will somehow acquire their personal duties in one way or another. And it will be a real executive committee. We managed to rally the body of like-minded people, and it will be as effective as possible,” Maygurov said.
