President of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) Viktor Maygurov spoke about possible cooperation with the head coach of the Belarusian national team Andrey Padin.
Previously, Padin worked part of the training camp with a group of biathletes under the head coach of the Russian national team Mikhail Shashilov. Padin worked at the gathering as a guest specialist.
– What is the function of Padina in the women’s team?
– It has no official RRF functionality. This is the initiative of Mikhail Viktorovich Shashilov. Of course, he coordinated everything with us. We offered to cooperate with Padin in the spring, but he had some personal health issues. Now everything seems to have stabilized. Therefore, we are waiting for a decision from him: if he is ready, we will cooperate with him,” Maygurov said, answering a question from a correspondent.
