Biathlon Federation presidential elections are being postponed – media

FBU conference scheduled for November 14

Acting President Biathlon Federation of Ukraine Volodymyr Brynzak trying to move FBU conference and with her elections new head of the federation.

According to Kamp-Sport, Brynzak plans to approve the relevant decision at a meeting of the Presidium, which is due to meet in the next few days. The reason for the postponement of the Conference to a new date may be the deterioration of the situation in Ukraine.

Earlier it was reported that Ivan Krulko, a deputy from the Batkivshchyna, is one of the candidates for the FBU President. People’s Deputy has already tried to present as the future head of the Federation at the conference of the International Biathlon Union (IBU) in Salzburg.

The election of the head of the Biathlon Federation of Ukraine should take place on November 14 during the FBU Conference. Krulko has not yet officially put forward his candidacy. The main opponent of the People’s Deputy is the leader of the men’s biathlon team of Ukraine Dmitry Pidruchny, who confirmed his intention to participate in the elections.

President of the Biathlon Federation of Ukraine Volodymyr Brynzak wrote a letter of resignation and left his post. According to him, since July 1, he has been acting president of the FBU. Brynzak refused to run for another term. The functionary has led the Ukrainian biathlon since 1998.

The meeting of the Presidium of the Biathlon Federation of Ukraine was supposed to be held on May 18, but was postponed until the end of martial law in the country.
