Skier Chernousov does not feel resentment towards coach Borodavko, who accused him of treason

Bronze medalist of the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi in the ski marathon Ilya Chernousov admitted he didn’t feel any resentment towards the head coach Russian team Yuri Borodavko who accused the athlete of treason.

In November 2017, Borodavko suggested that Ilya Chernousov was cooperating with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) commission which had suspended several Russian skiers from the 2018 Olympics.

– I have no grudge against Yuri Viktorovich. If he had said something to my face, that’s one thing, but words taken out of context and broadcast in the media are another. Of course, it was unpleasant to read this even in the press, but, I repeat, I have no resentment against him,” Chernousov told the “Championship”.

In March this year, Borodavko admitted his mistake in an interview, saying his remarks were not intended for publication and had been taken out of context.
