Skrynnik told Match TV that he voluntarily resigned as president of the International Bandy Federation.

Boris Skrynnik told that he left the position of president of the International Bandy Federation (FIB) of his own free will, noting that he had been offered the position of chief adviser to the FIB.

Earlier, the media reported that Skrynnik was replaced by Norwegian Stein Pedersen. On Friday, the FIB Congress takes place in Helsinki.

– I left the post of president of the federation of my own free will, the candidacy of Pedersen is my proposal. We eliminated all aggressive Russophobes and Pedersen remained the most acceptable candidate. I have now taken a break, but have been offered to be the senior adviser. Now we are looking for a consensus. Until we achieve loyalty on all sides, I will not make a decision,” Skrynnik told .

Skrynnik has led the FIB since 2005, and in 2020 he was re-elected for another four-year term.
