Olympic champion Tretyakov on the Russian Cup: “There are no motivation problems. I understand that we must not lose all the skills”

The first Olympic skeleton champion in Russian history Alexander Tretyakov told that he did not have optimal conditions before the start of the Russian Cup in Sochi, but he did not have motivation problems.

From November 1 to 7, the Krasnaya Polyana bobsleigh and bobsleigh track hosts the Russian Bobsleigh and Skeleton Cup — the first start of the 2022/2023 season for skeleton athletes and the second for bobsledders.

– I have an absolutely working attitude, because now I have to keep my form so that during this season, when we miss international starts, we don’t lose all the skills. I understand that all this is necessary, so there are no motivation problems. Of course, the conditions are not optimal, but the form is excellent. I arrived in Sochi quite recently, so I had my first training session. The track is well prepared. Here, as always, everything is cool! said Tretyakov.

Tretyakov is 37 years old, he won Olympic Games gold in 2014, he also became world champion (2013) and double European champion (2007, 2021).
