Yemerkhonov competed under the RBU flag in the last Russian Championship in Tchaikovsky. The athlete in an interview with said that the Udmurt Biathlon Federation demanded compensation in the amount of one million rubles from the Tatarstan Biathlon Federation for his transition, although the RBU commission found that no payment was foreseen for the registration of a biathlete in a new region. Tatarstan Biathlon Federation President Ildar Nugmanov told he was ready to go to court to complete Yemerkhonov’s transition.
– The saga with the transfer of Yevgeny Yemerkhonov to Tatarstan is over. Yesterday the Biathlon Federation of the Republic of Udmurtia approved it. At the Russian Cup he will already play for the Republic of Tatarstan, – wrote Averyanov in the Telegram channel .
Yemerkhonov leads preparatory camps for the upcoming season as part of Yuri Kaminsky’s group. Last season, the biathlete became the silver medalist of the European Junior Championship in supermix.
The first stage of the Russian Biathlon Cup will be held from November 24 to 27 in Khanty-Mansiysk.
