Double Olympic champion Anna Bogaliy told that the money received by the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) from gambling organizers will be used to help regions organize competitions.
On Thursday, the RBU announced that Bogaliy was chairing the commission for the distribution of funds received by the RBU in the form of earmarked contributions from gambling organizers.
– There are certain procedures for which expenditure items this money can be spent. Now we will collect information and develop an algorithm of actions for regions to receive aid. As soon as we collect information, we will start providing assistance in holding the competition, Bogaliy told .
Bogaliy is also a member of the executive committee of the RBU, vice-president of the organization of sports for young people.
