Deputy Krulko became the new President of the Biathlon Federation of Ukraine

People’s Deputy received 58 votes against 31 from Dmitry Pidruchny

People’s Deputy from Batkivshchyna Ivan Krulko became the new president Biathlon Federation of Ukraine.

The reporting and election conference was held at the premises of the National University of Physical Culture and Sports. Krulko got 58 votes, his only competitor, the leader of the men’s biathlon team of Ukraine Dmitry Pidruchny, got 31 votes. Recall that the Olympic champion Elena Bilosyuk (Pidhrushnaya) withdrew her candidacy earlier.

In 2020, MP Ivan Krulko was involved in a scandal when he was accused of transferring his accreditation for the Biathlon World Championships to Russian coach Alexander Kasperovich.

President of the Biathlon Federation of Ukraine Volodymyr Brynzak wrote a letter of resignation and left his post. According to him, since July 1, he has been acting president of the FBU. Brynzak refused to run for another term. The functionary has led the Ukrainian biathlon since 1998.
