Among the important points of the program are the biathlon infrastructure restoration fund and contracts with the first coaches
Newly elected president Biathlon Federation of Ukraine Ivan Krulko offers to introduce a biathlon lesson. Thus, the functionary hopes to increase patriotic education in schools.
“Program points? The main things – I propose the development of the state program “Biathlon Lesson”. I think that this program should not be a program of Krulk, but a state one. I will be glad if she is announced by the President of Ukraine, because this program will ensure the military-patriotic education of the youth.”
“We have an enemy – Russia, this is for a long time and every Ukrainian child should own a weapon. This is my conviction as a Ukrainian and public figure and politician. Therefore, I believe that the biathlon lesson should be like a stage of preparation. We used to have pre-conscription training for young men, now we don’t have it. We must turn such pre-conscription training into something modern. And modern is a biathlon lesson. This is both mass character and involvement in patriotic education. And most importantly, this is a wonderful sport that is loved by a million Ukrainians.”
“The second issue that I propose is the creation of a biathlon infrastructure restoration fund. We have a collapsed Chernihiv base, and I would be glad if a QR code was highlighted on the websites and broadcasts during the biathlon so that they would donate in support of the destroyed Chernihiv base, for its restoration. I think that during the winter season we will be able to raise funds in order to rebuild the Chernihiv base in a year, which was destroyed due to the attack of Russian troops. And we will also rebuild other bases – this is the Sumy region, and Kharkiv, Lviv and Kyiv – wherever there are biathlon traditions.
“The third question is [контракты] with the first coaches. Next, we will introduce the presidium, they will understand for the season how much they will receive bonuses if they receive medals at championships and World Cups, European championships. In addition, we plan to change the charter, it needs to be changed, for this we are creating a charter commission. I am absolutely convinced that we need to promote pneumatic biathlon, this is just for children. We have pneumatic weapons that are produced in Ukraine, and we need to load these enterprises so that they produce more of these weapons, and our children can go in for biathlon.
Of course, the program consists of a much larger number of items, including the organizational structure and how the committees should work. Each member is assigned to the work of a certain committee, he will lead and report. In addition, I plan to hold a tender for an independent audit after my election, because this issue was raised, including at the conference. An independent audit should say what the position of our organization is. I have no doubt that Volodymyr Brinzak honestly and openly worked for the Ukrainian biathlon, we should be grateful for that. But the requirements of the charter suggest that we must do this, and after an audit from an independent company, we will tell you where we start and how.
And, of course, these are sponsors, they need to be sought, perhaps through the media, if they come in handy to be partners in the most popular sport. The only thing I can say is that in the months that I have been working, we have already managed to return the first sponsor.”
Ivan Krulko became the new president of the FBU after a conference that took place on Monday. 58 participants voted for the people’s deputy, the leader of the men’s biathlon team of Ukraine Dmitry Pidruchny scored 31 votes.
President of the Biathlon Federation of Ukraine Volodymyr Brynzak wrote a letter of resignation and left his post. The functionary has led the Ukrainian biathlon since 1998.
