President of the Biathlon Federation of the Republic of Udmurtia, three-time world champion Ivan Cherezov reacted to the transition of the biathlete Viktor Plitsev
to the national team of North Macedonia.
According to Metaratings.ru, 27-year-old Plitsev has joined the North Macedonia national team and will be able to play for them next season. Previously, Plitsev was a member of the Russian youth team and the Udmurtia team.
– Victor Plitsev was going to spend a long time in the Macedonian team, even before February. At one point, the transition process was on hold. They worked out options, because it is necessary to obtain citizenship – it is a long procedure.
All the guys want to try their hand at the international stage. If they can’t break through here, through our competitions, to the national team, they go that way – they go to teams where the roster is hard to put together. There they are guaranteed that they will perform on the international stage, – Cherezov is cited by the “Championship”.
