A serious scandal erupted in Ukrainian biathlon. It’s all about naturalized athletes from Russia. The head of the country’s Biathlon Federation Volodymyr Brinzak, in an interview with Suspilna Sport, said that Nadezhda Belkina, Olga Abramova, Ekaterina Bekh, Anastasia Rasskazova, Oksana Moskalenko and Daria Sidorova had left Ukraine before the war and were stuck in Russia.

“When the season ended, they went home to visit their parents and there they were, they called me, they trained. They are said to be ready to leave when there is centralized training.

Rasskazova is already in Pokljuka. He was in Ukraine and left with the team. He is and is practicing. Ekaterina Bekh and Oksana Moskalenko have not left. They have snow in the house, so they ski there. That is why they made such a decision.

Pokljuka welcomed refugees, young athletes from Ukraine. They left to be safe. There is no centralized collection with the participation of Ukrainian women.

Bilosyuk, Krivonos, Merkushina, Belkina and all the men are still serving. But there was a decision that if there would be centralized training, the Ministry of Sports would allow them. Since it’s off-season now, there’s no such need, they serve. And in May, preparations will begin. But it’s too early to talk about it, ”Brynzak said.

These words did not satisfy the captain of the men’s biathlon team of Ukraine Dmitry Pidruchny.

“Vladimir Mikhailovich, seriously ?! And again a lie! This time – the latter,” Pidruchny wrote on his Instagram.
