As it became known from , the Zamoskvoretsky court in Moscow extended until March 1 the term of detention of the former head of the federal state budget institution “Sports Training Center of Russian National Teams ” (FGBU TsSP) Alexander Kravtsov .
Prosecution witnesses did not appear for the second time. The next hearing in this case will take place on November 29.
Kravtsov has been in a temporary detention center in Moscow since September 2020.
According to investigators, between May 2014 and July 2017, Kravtsov appointed six people to the positions of analysts of the complex scientific group and organized another as an instructor of the ski team at the sports training center of the Russian national team. These received a salary, but in fact did not work.
The amount of damage caused by Kravtsov’s actions was estimated at 14.45 million rubles. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
Kravtsov led the Russian Biathlon Union from 2014 to 2018. In 2014 he led the Russian delegation to the Sochi Olympics.
