The festival dedicated to World Skating Day will host Russia’s largest ice rink in VDNKh in early December.
World Skating Day was created by the International Skating Union (ISU). Ice rinks around the world will host events for children, amateur athletes and professionals. In Russia, this event will be organized by Moscow VDNKh.
According to the organizers of the event, which will take place on December 4, it will bring together well-known and beginner athletes in speed skating and figure skating. Departure is at 12:00 (Moscow time). In the first half of the day, there will be amateur races for all, a master class and a performance by figure skaters, followed by the second series of amateur races, a raffle and an autograph session for guests of honor at the event.
— We are planning a big event that day at VDNKh. Oleg Matytsin (Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation) has already agreed to skate, Russian Skating Union President Nikolai Gulyaev told a press conference at the press center.
