The first stage of the Biathlon World Cup will take place as planned in Finnish Kontiolahti, reports the press service of the International Biathlon Union (IBU).
The stage in Finland will take place from November 29 to December 4, biathletes will compete in individual and sprint races, pursuit and relay races.
In November, the IBU announced the cancellation of the IBU Cup first round in Shushen, Norway, due to lack of snow.
Russian athletes have been suspended from international competitions under the organisation’s auspices since the end of last season due to the situation in Ukraine.
