Former bobsledder Skvortsova told what she regrets 13 years after the Königssee accident

Former Russian bobsledder Irina Skvortsova talked about life after the accident 13 years ago.

In 2009, on the Königssee track in Germany, Skvortsova was seriously injured in an accident – another bean crashed into the overturned crew of the athlete, starting under a red light due to an error of the judges . Since then, Skvortsova has undergone several surgeries, including on a badly injured leg.

– After the accident, I had a lot of proposals, different projects, but then I was not interested. Or I refused because I was going abroad and I didn’t know when I would return. Then I bit the bit and hung on to operations,” RT quotes the athlete saying.

Skvortsova also answered the question if she regrets it.

Now, of course, I would behave differently. Yes, I regret many opportunities that I missed. Not on what she did these operations, but on what brought them to the fore. Smart people told me about it, but I had a veil over my eyes. He was a fool, what’s that. When you were 20, they told you, and when you were 40, it appeared to you,” Skvortsova added.
