swedish skier Frida Karlson won first place in the free pursuit at the first stage of the World Cup in Ruka (Finland).
Karlsson, starting from second position, completed the 20 km distance in 49 minutes 55.3 seconds. His compatriot finished second Ebba Andersson (+33.3). The Norwegian completes the top three Tiril Weng (+1.11.6).
The stage will end on November 27, later on Sunday the men will start.
The second stage of the World Cup will take place in Lillehammer (Norway) from December 2 to 4. Russian skiers are not allowed to compete under FIS auspices due to the situation in Ukraine.
