Three-time Olympic champion in cross-country skiing Alexander Bolshunov congratulated the Norwegian Johannes Klebo with the conquest of the Big Crystal Globe in the 2022/23 season. The Russian sent his message through a journalist from the publication TV2 Ernst Lehrsween.
– It seems to me that he will be able to win all the medals of the World Championship. Tell him (addressing the reporter) that I congratulate him on the Big Crystal Globe in the 2022/23 season, Bolshunov wrote.
Klebo, commenting on Bolshunov’s congratulations, admitted that such words surprised him.
– Of course, it’s strange for me to see that the best riders don’t go to the start. But that’s the current situation. I can only run as fast as I can,” Klebo said.
At the first stage of the World Cup in Ruka, Klebo won all three races. Russian skiers are not allowed to compete under the auspices of the International Ski Federation (FIS) due to the situation in Ukraine.
