In Moscow, with the support of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, a curling mini-tournament was held, in which the head of the department took part Oleg Matytsin .
The event took place in the sports complex “New League”, the opening of the tournament was also attended by the chairman of the State Duma committee on physical culture and sports, Dmitry Svishchev.
Four teams took part in the mini-tournament, each comprising media representatives, bloggers and professional curlers from the Russian women’s and men’s national teams. Matytsin played for one of the teams. One of the hosts of the event was the two-time European Olympic curling champion Anna Sidorova .
Matytsin, in a conversation with journalists, said that in the future it is planned to continue to hold such competitions that will help popularize the sport in Russia.
