Dudchenko finished in the top 30 in the individual race in Kontiolahti

The victory in the race was won by the Swede Ponsiluoma

AT Kontiolahti (Finland) debut race Biathlon World Cup 2022/23.

The men’s individual race was won by Swede Martin Ponsiluoma, who finished in 49:36.5 seconds. Second place went to the Swiss Niklas Hartweg, who was just over 37 seconds behind the winner. The bronze medal was won by Germany’s David Zobel.

The best result among Ukrainians was shown by Anton Dudchenko, who finished 30th with three penalties. Bogdan Tsymbal missed twice on the shooting range and finished 31st. Taras Lesyuk finished the race 40th with two misfires, and debutant Denis Nasyko finished 64th, losing almost seven minutes to the leader. Note that another Ukrainian, Artem Prima, did not enter the race.

On November 30, the women’s individual race will take place in Kontiolahti. Next, the athletes will have a relay race (December 1), a sprint (December 3) and a pursuit race (December 4).
