Part of the track at the Uvat biathlon complex does not have enough snow, the asphalt shows through in some places, the coach of the Russian national team tells Yuri Kaminsky .
The second stage of the Russian Cup will be held in Uvat, Tyumen region, from December 1 to 4.
– I passed the track yesterday, it’s not bad. But, unfortunately, there is not enough snow. Somewhere the asphalt shows through, somewhere the stones. There is a risk of getting damaged, there is a fairly weak layer of snow on the track: it breaks through with poles, then with skis,” said Kaminsky.
“How long have you been in Uvat?”
– I am here for the first time. Everything is fine, only the track is a bit disappointing. The stadium is probably suitable for a good competition, if everything is well organised. Work the track, again.
– Will your whole band play here?
– It will depend on the weather. For the first day, the forecasts are not very good. Here the temperature is significantly more bearable than in Khanty-Mansiysk. Feel and breathe easier.
