The individual race for women of the debut stage of the season within the framework of the World Cup has ended.

In Finnish Kontiolahti started the first Biathlon World Cup. As part of the second day of competition, an individual race for women was held.

The victory was won by the Swedish biathlete Hanna Oeberg, who, despite a miss, managed to finish first, showing the best result thanks to her great speed. The absence of misses helped to become the second Norwegian Ingrid Thundervold.

Germany’s Denise Hermann-Wieck showed great footwork, but an extra miss on the final shot kept her from competing for medals in this race.

Daria Blazhko became the best Ukrainian, but she could not enter the TOP-30. It is worth noting that Irina Petrenko and Yuliya Dzhima could not take part in the debut race of the season.
