More than 40 regions of Russia took part in the Sports Winter campaign, the organizers of the event said.
The action is dedicated to the opening of the winter sports season. The subjects of the Russian Federation hosted open tournaments, master classes, mass ski races, ice skating with the participation of prominent athletes, cultural figures and regional leaders.
Olympic cross-country skiing champion Nikita Kryukov held a master class for young skiers.

In Khanty-Mansiysk, the opening of the 2022/23 winter sports season was devoted to mass skating with the participation of Olympic champion in biathlon Evgeny Redkin, world champion in biathlon Dmitry Yaroshenko and world champion boxer Ruslan Provodnikov.
Demonstration performances of athletes from the Olympic reserve school of snowboarding and freestyle departments took place in the Novosibirsk region. The participants of the sports festival were welcomed by the silver medalist of the Freestyle World Championship Lana Prusakova. Honored coach of Russia Alexander Nikiforov, world champion Natalya Moiseeva spoke about the start of the winter season in biathlon and cross-country skiing.
Winter sports events will be held in Moscow and other regions until December 4.
