Houser won the women’s sprint at the stage in Kontiolahti, the Ukrainians are outside the top 50

Austrian biathlete Lisa Teresa Houser won the sprint at the first stage World Cup in Finnish Kontiolahti.

The Austrian showed perfect shooting and completed the race in 20 minutes and 39 seconds. Italian Lisa Vittozzi, who made one miss, lost 17 seconds to the winner. Sweden’s Lynn Persson was third, 24 seconds back.

The best among Ukrainians became Anna Krivonoswho lost almost two minutes to Hauser and finished in 54th place. Daria Blashko became the 60th Elena Bilosyuk – 61st. Irina Petrenko, also declared for the sprint, did not start.

On Sunday, the pursuit race will take place in Kontiolahti. The beginning is at 15:15 Kyiv time.
