As it became known from , the junior biathlon team of Udmurtia will miss the All-Russian competitions due to lack of funding from the region.
On December 5, the Udmurtia national team was supposed to leave Tyumen, where it is now “roll-in”, to Khanty-Mansiysk for the first stage of the youth competitions, but due to lack of funds they will return home. Coaching staff and athletes are considering the possibility of moving to other teams.
A source familiar with the situation told that the Udmurtia junior team ahead of the Russian summer championship in Ufa could not hold shooting training due to a lack of ammunition, but despite this, she managed to win two medals at the tournament. Previously, Republican competitions in Izhevsk were held without shooting for the same reason.
During summer training, Alexander Povarnitsyn and Evgeny Yemerkhonov left the Udmurtia men’s team. Both had questions about the provision of athletes by the local TsSP.
