Double Olympic champion Sergei Chepikov told that Russian biathletes will soon receive good domestically produced skis.
– Concerning the equipment, I am very happy that we have started to test our professional skis in order to equip the junior teams afterwards. The skis are made in Balabanovo. We have a group led by Alexander Pechersky testing them. Alexander said they already have experimental batches of skis.
There are still some nuances, but we hope that already this season there will be skis at the level of European manufacturers. We are currently making design adjustments. These are professional skis for top athletes. We had never had skis of the highest level before, but the current situation has caused them to appear. We hope that in the middle of the season we will have cool professional skis,” Chepikov told .
From December 8 to 11, Tyumen will host the 3rd stage of the Russian Cup in biathlon.
