The captain of the Ukrainian men’s biathlon team will still compete in the World Cup this season.
The captain of the Ukrainian national biathlon team, Dmitry Pidruchny, successfully underwent knee surgery.
The athlete on Instagram published a post in which he announced a successful surgical intervention.
“The operation was successful. The particles of my meniscus are reunited. The recovery process is ahead. Thank you all for your wishes. I will come back stronger,” said Podruchny.

It is expected that full restoration of function will take 4-5 weeks.
So, Podruchny can join the Ukrainian national team at the World Championships in Oberhof, which will be held from February 8 to 19 next year.
