Double winner of the European Championship Larissa Kuklina is a skilled shooter, she has a lot to learn, biathlete Ilnaz Mukhamedzyanov told .

In the summer, Kuklina joined the group of Yuri Kaminsky, in which Mukhamedzyanov also trains. Kuklina is the only woman in this group.

– How do you judge the last stage of the Russian Cup in Uvat in terms of organization?

“Everything was organized in a very powerful way,” Mukhamedzyanov told . – There have been so many fans at the Russian Cup for a long time. There was a “Biathlon Family”, where you could eat rolls, drink coffee. The organization was at a very good level. The only thing is that we adapt a lot to the television image, that is, when it is very cold, we have to go to the start.

– How do you like the rivalry with the Belarusians? Anton Smolsky is head and shoulders above now?

– In fact, he is the same athlete as everyone else. We also have a lot of strong athletes in our country: the same Edik Latypov, who destroys everything and everyone, Daniil Serokhvostov. They are not weaker than Smolsky. Anton simply has such an advantage – he is a foreign athlete, from Belarus. And so we are competing on equal terms, there is no fear.

– Are you targeting Latypov now?

– There is no desire. Everyone has their own path. I try to work on myself. If I manage to compete with Edik on equal terms or beat him, of course, I will be happy. I log in to show exactly my maximum result and not focus on my opponents.

Tell us about your work with Larisa Kuklina. How much does she make up guys?

– I try to look only at myself, I don’t turn my head too much, I don’t look at anyone. Yes, Larisa trains nearby, but I’m not what she does. Of course, we all train together. There are video viewings in the evening, we watch how someone works on the turn. She is, of course, a skilled shooter. In this regard, there is much to learn from her.
