Anton became the best among Ukrainians in the first men’s race in Hochfilzen
Ukrainian biathlete Anton Dudchenko shared his impressions after the sprint race at the second stage World Cup in Austrian Hochfilzen.
“I felt hard at the distance today. Misses on the rack, most likely, my mistakes, since the weather conditions did not affect the shooting in any way. Perhaps it was affected by the fact that it was so hard at the distance, so there were misses.
Perhaps it was better to start at the beginning of the race, because the corners were not so broken. For there is a lot of ice in these areas, and it was quite difficult to pass them.”
“It was unusual for a sprint to run four laps – I’m used to shooting after each lap. And here, after the prone line, it was necessary to drive two laps. I kept turning it in my head all the time, so I kept my concentration.”
Dudchenko became the best among Ukrainians in the sprint, taking 38th place. Anton made two misses in standing shooting. The race was won by the Norwegian Johannes Be.
The men will run the relay on Saturday. The men’s pursuit will take place on Sunday, December 11th. The beginning is at 15:15 Kyiv time.
