Ukrainian biathlete won 15 positions compared to the sprint
Ukrainian biathlete Anton Dudchenko commented on the result of the pursuit race in the Austrian Hochfilzen.
“I’m happy that I’m doing well in this race, it’s good when there is a contact fight, when everyone fights with each other, it’s always interesting. Perhaps it just suits me that I manage to improve my positions in this way. ”
“Last time I shot well. And today the first miss, as the coaches said, was far away, probably somewhere I lost my concentration. And here is the last one on the counter: the envelope did not close, it was a little underdeveloped, because my thoughts were already at a distance. There is something to work on. Even before the New Year, there is one stage in France to correct mistakes and improve results.
The skis worked very well today, thanks a lot to the servicemen. I also felt pretty good, for three laps everything was fine, but on the fourth lap I began to “hang” a little, on the fifth lap I worked at maximum strength, but still I couldn’t compete with the Finn. But I did my best.”
Anton Dudchenko, who finished 38th in the sprint, gained 15 positions in the pursuit and finished 23rd. The Ukrainian made two misses at the shooting range.
The third stage of the Biathlon World Cup will be held in French Annecy. Men will open the program with a sprint race on December 15th.
