Artem showed his best result in the new season
Ukrainian biathlete Artem Prima commented on the performance in the sprint at the third stage World Cup in Annecy.
“I was looking forward to this race. But I set myself up for the sprint at Hochfilzen, where there were 4 misses. Today, the mood was the same, I concentrated before the start. On shooting prone, he worked fine, but on the stand, he aimed every shot in order to surely hit, so he shot a little longer. ”
“But at a distance I was dissatisfied with myself, it was something hard. I don’t know why, maybe there was such a day, and tomorrow it will be better, there was no such ease today to hold on to, for example, the leaders.”
“The skis worked fine. The track was not very good, where the water is, where the porridge is snowy, and then it started to rain. And on the eve of the race, we talked with the guys from the service and it seemed that it was not going to rain, so we chose other skis. That is, I can’t complain about skis, but today I’m not very pleased with my form. ”
“In principle, the porridge was already at sighting, but on the track, the service seemed to be trying to do something to improve its condition. However, it’s warm outside, so the organizers didn’t succeed very well.”
Prima showed clean shooting, but lost a minute and a half to the sprint winner Johannes Boe. Artem took 18th place, having achieved his best result in the new season.
On Friday, the program of the third stage of the Biathlon World Cup in Annecy will continue with the women’s sprint. The men’s pursuit will take place on Saturday, December 17th.
