Johannes Böh won the fifth race in a row, Prima was 18th in the Annecy sprint

Three Ukrainians made it to the pursuit

Biathlon season leader Johannes Be won the sprint in French Annecy. The Norwegian covered the distance in 22 minutes and 52 seconds.

Second place went to another Norwegian biathlete Sturla Legrade, who lost 17 seconds to Be. German won bronze Benedict Doll. It should be noted that the first three athletes completed the race without penalty loops.

The best among Ukrainians was Artem Prima, who, having shown clean shooting, finished 18th. Three Ukrainian athletes qualified for the pursuit race – Anton Dudchenko took 28th place, Bohdan Tsymbal – 44th. Vitaly Mandzin showed the 78th result, Taras Lesyuk did not start in the sprint.

The victory in the sprint at Annecy was the fifth in a row for Be in the individual races of the season. Twice more Johannes won in the relay team of Norway.

On Friday, the program of the third stage of the Biathlon World Cup in Annecy will continue with the women’s sprint. The men’s pursuit will take place on Saturday, December 17th.
