Magnusson won the women’s sprint in Annecy, Bilosiuk – in the top 30

Ahead of the women – pursuit and mass start

In Annecy (France) a sprint race among women was held as part of the 3rd stage of the Biathlon World Cup.

The representative of Sweden Anna Magnusson triumphed in the race. The 27-year-old biathlete made no mistakes on the firing lines and finished in 21:04.7 seconds.

Second place was won by Magnusson’s compatriot Lynn Persson, who came 12 seconds behind Anna with one miss. The third was the German Denise Herrmann-Wick.

The top 30 included the representative of Ukraine Olena Bilosiuk, who worked “purely” at shooting. She was 1:10.1 seconds behind Magnusson.

Daria Blashko finished 54th, Anastasia Merkushina came 57th. Two more Ukrainians finished the race in the eighth top ten: Anna Krivonos was 73rd, and Yulia Dzhima was located next door (74th).

In Annecy, the women will have two more races. The women’s pursuit will take place on December 17, and the mass start on December 18.
