Prima: At the last frontier, I believed that there would be four zeros, and missed

The Ukrainian noted the heavy icy track in Annecy

Ukrainian biathlete Artem Prima spoke about the performance in the pursuit race in the third stage World Cup in French Annecy.

“Today, in principle, I am satisfied with the race. Everything worked out on fire, I concentrated my attention, I was in no hurry, I tried to shoot calmly. At the last firing line, I already believed that there would be four zeros, and here was a miss.

“As for the course, the skis today were super fast, because the track was covered in ice. I reached the finish line, but there were no edges on the half-ski, I think it was the same for other athletes. This is the track today.”

“As for well-being, the first three rounds I felt good, but for the fourth and fifth I was no longer enough. If I had completed it to the end like running on the second or third laps, I would have been very pleased with the race.”

Artem Prima showed the best result of the season, finishing tenth in the pursuit. Note that the Ukrainian with clean shooting claimed the top five, but made a single miss at the last frontier.

The women’s pursuit will take place on Saturday. On Sunday, the two final competitions of the Annecy stage program will take place – races with a mass start for men and women.
