Tsymbal: With such shooting, you need to climb at least 15 places

Bogdan finished 35th in the pursuit

Ukrainian biathlete Bogdan Tsymbal commented on his performance in the men’s pursuit at the World Cup in Annecy.

“The track is in poor condition, but the organizers are not to blame here, such weather. Yesterday it was warm, but at night it was frosty and there was just ice on the track, the start was postponed. We thought the sun would come out and something would melt, the track would improve – it didn’t work out. We, of course, shortened the circle a little, because there was a very difficult descent, just solid ice, and it was difficult to fit into the turn.

“I moved up nine positions, which seems to be not bad, but with such shooting, you need to move up at least 15 places. In pursuit, this is good shooting for today, I think, although it turned out to be an unfortunate miss. I would like to shoot much better.”

Tsymbal finished 35th in the pursuit with one penalty in the final shooting. The Norwegian Sturla Legrade won the race.

The stage in Annecy will end tomorrow, December 18, with the men’s and women’s mass starts. For men, Ukrainian Artem Prima will appear on the track.
