Anton hopes to improve results in 2023
Biathlete Anton Dudchenko commented on his victory in the sprint race at the Ukrainian Championship. The athlete also spoke about the upcoming Christmas race, in which he will represent Ukraine.
“My desire to shoot quickly and go to the track prevented me. An incentive to compete at the Ukrainian Championship? It is always interesting to compete with your athletes. The more biathletes from the main team participate, the higher the level and the more interesting it will be for fans and athletes. It will be possible to look at the results more objectively.
“Christmas race? It will be a very interesting experience, I will compete in it for the first time. I have a great desire to perform in it. This is a show race, an unofficial start, but for experience, perhaps to defuse the psychological burden, to enjoy the process and the race itself – I hope it will be interesting enough.
“Impressions of World Cup racing? Pretty positive. Especially in pursuit. The sprints failed to realize themselves. It felt like there were pretty good races, and not quite. I hope that from the new year there will be more stable results and higher.”
Today Dudchenko triumphed in the sprint race at the Ukrainian Championship. Anton was 12 seconds ahead of Bogdan Tsymbal.
After the Ukrainian championship, Dudchenko will compete in the Christmas race in Gelsenkirchen on December 28th. Together with him, Ukraine will be represented by Yuliya Jima.
