Bronze medalist at the Olympics Angelina Golikova won the 1000 meter distance at the Russian Speed Skating Championship in Kemerovo.
Golikova covered the distance in 1 minute 18.02 seconds.
Alexandra Sayutina was second with a time of 1:18.05 and Elizaveta Golubeva was third with a time of 1:18.10.
For Sayutina, 21, this is the first personal medal in speed skating. The athlete is the daughter of Olympic champion Svetlana Bazhanova and world championship winner Vadim Sayutin. Sayutina transitioned from figure skating to speed skating when she was 16.
The Russian Championship will end on December 29.
