Norwegians Tandrevold and Christiansen won the mass start at the Christmas race, Jim and Dudchenko are ninth

Ahead of the biathletes is the pursuit race

Norwegian biathletes Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold and Vetle-Syastad Christiansen became the winners of the mass start in the program Christmas race.

The Norwegians overcame the track in 33 minutes and 46.7 seconds, missing three times in shooting. France’s Julie Simon and Fabien Claude took second place ahead of the Czech duo Marketa Davidov/Michal Krchmar.

Ukrainians Yulia Dzhima and Anton Dudchenko took ninth place, losing one minute and 42 seconds to the winners. The Ukrainian biathletes have seven misses at the shooting range.

Earlier in the junior race, Ukrainians Oleksandra Merkushina and Vitaliy Mandzin won bronze. The winner was the Norwegian duet Maren Bakken/Martin Uldal.

The annual “Christmas Race” takes place in Gelsenkirchen at the Veltins Arena. The final race of the Biathlon World Team Challenge program is the pursuit race, which will start at 20:30 Kyiv time.
